They live in the land of "make believe". To be candid, as talented as the Gensler Architects are, whatever shade of LEED "green" they want it to be, none of that goes very far towards the goal of saving homeless Animals. This shelter is NOT "Open Admission". As long as a shelter picks and chooses which homeless babies it cares for, anything can happen . The rest go down the street to killing "shelters" where they are promptly killed.... for failing their aggression test. Poor cats and dogs, given 60 seconds to be judged , "Fit to Live" or DEATH to the ones who do not fit the mold. I am sorry I can not applaud the efforts when so little attention has been spend to the real needs of the animals to be communal, to socialize and play. The answer does include having nice clean buildings to house the animals and allow humans to choose their next family members while watching them in their normal state of mind, not in a cage, or fancy cell.
